About the venue
The Watermill of Rakhorst is a historic location, situated in Gelderland Heerde, romantically surrounded by meadows, forests, a romantic little lake, and a babbling brook.
In the building itself, you can still find, and this is unique in the Netherlands, the authentic elements such as silos, millstones, and the wooden waterwheel.
The Watermill of Rakhorst has, in addition to the two restored watermill halls, the very playful and artistically designed Grain Transfer. Extremely suitable for meetings, retreats, team days, workshops, training days, (product) presentations, and other events and team-building activities.
Next to the watermill, there is a large Farm Barn on the premises. A farmer's lunch or a Michelin dinner... that appeals to every fantasy fiber in your body....
The terrace by the Watermill, with a view of the lake, offers a great outdoor place to enjoy the tranquility and the view of the Watermill, the lake, the waterwheel by the brook, and the authentic farm barn.
The Watermill is very easily accessible by car from the A50. There are 50 free paved parking spaces on the premises, and you can reach the Watermill on foot within 1 minute, walking along the lake.
