Eye Filmmuseum in Amsterdam is a guardian, pioneer, and guide in the world of film and the art of moving images. Eye manages over 54,000 films of all genres: from classics, blockbusters, and early avant-garde films to the very latest VR experiments. Eye's gaze is on the past and stays up-to-date with new acquisitions, programs, and debates.
In the iconic museum building by the IJ River, there is a permanent exhibition, along with three annual rotating exhibitions in the large exhibition space. You'll also find a shop and a bar-restaurant. In the four cinemas, important and special films are screened daily.
For young and old, film enthusiasts and professionals alike, Eye sheds light on film as art, culture, entertainment, and a part of contemporary visual culture, always from a changing perspective.
For your event, you have a choice of various unique spaces. There are four cinemas of different sizes, each with its own style and top-quality audiovisual equipment. Additionally, there are four versatile spaces with ample natural light and impressive views. Two spacious foyers are available for catering moments. The spaces are available for rent for conferences, symposia, meetings, lectures, presentations, dinners, receptions, workshops, and film screenings, among other events. At Eye Filmmuseum, there are various parking options nearby. A'DAM Parking - 3 minutes walking distance - €4.05 per hour. IJDock Parking Garage - 20 minutes walking distance - starting from €15. Parking Centrum Oosterdok - 20 minutes walking distance - day pass between €10 and €25. De Opgang Parking Garage - 25 minutes by bus 38 from Olof-Palmeplein bus stop (get off at Buiksloterwegveer) - up to €14 per day. Street parking in Van der Pekbuurt - 15 minutes walking distance - €1.40 per hour.
Eye Filmmuseum is easily accessible by public transportation. Train, tram, metro, bus, and ferry services are nearby. From the north side of Amsterdam Centraal station, take the free ferry F3 to 'Buiksloterweg' and walk to the left towards Eye. This ferry operates 24 hours a day, every few minutes. Upon arriving, you'll already see Eye on your left. The total travel time from Amsterdam Centraal to Eye is less than ten minutes.
You cannot stay at Eye Filmmuseum, but we would be happy to provide information about various hotels in the vicinity. The nearest hotel, Sir Adam, is just a 1-minute walk away.
Select Catering is the exclusive caterer for Eye Filmmuseum, so it is not possible to bring your own caterer. Catering for up to 100 people is provided by Eye Banqueting, an initiative from Select Catering located within Eye. For events with more than 100 people, the catering will be handled directly by Select Catering. You are welcome to contact them directly. Of course, we can also connect you for a customized quote.
A party at Eye Filmmuseum may last until 01:00. Upon request, it can be extended later.

Eye Filmmuseum is easily accessible by car via Amsterdam Noord. Take exit S115, S116, S117, or S118 from the ring road. Use Overhoeksplein 1 (A'DAM Parking) as a navigation point.
