About Eye
Eye Filmmuseum in Amsterdam is a guardian of film heritage, a pioneer and a guide in the world of cinema and the art of the moving image. Eye manages a collection of more than 60.000 films spanning every genre, from classics, blockbusters and early avant-garde films to the latest VR experiments. Eye looks to the past while keeping a close eye on the present through new acquisitions, programmes and debates.
The museum’s iconic building next to the river IJ houses a permanent exhibition and temporary exhibitions in its spacious gallery. Four cinemas showcase significant and remarkable films every day. The building also features a bar-restaurant.
Events at Eye
For your event, you can choose from a variety of unique event spaces, each with its own style and character. The spaces can be hired for, e.g., conferences, symposia, meetings, lectures, presentations, dinners, receptions, workshops, and film screenings.
Eye has four cinemas of varying sizes, Cinema 1 to 4, each with its own character and state-of-the-art picture and sound quality. For smaller events, there are four multi-purpose rooms with natural daylight and spectacular views, as well as two spacious catering areas. It is also possible to hire the entire building exclusively.
