Fort bij Rijnauwen is, with 31 ha, the largest and greenest fortification of the Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie, since 2021 UNESCO World Heritage Hollandse Waterlinies. Here, culture and nature are closely connected. Not only do protected animal and plant species live here, but also the 27 monumental buildings with evocative names like caponnière and reduit are unique in the Netherlands. All of this is hidden just a stone's throw from the city of Utrecht.  

Staatsbosbeheer has given the fort a second life with a new function to experience it in a way that fits this time and the carrying capacity of the fort and the surrounding nature. Part of the fort complex and fort grounds is available for (exclusive) rental to companies and individuals. From small-scale meetings, workshops, team building to an event, family day, reception, or photo shoot. Customization based on our clients' wishes is a top priority for our hospitable staff.

The variety of buildings and outdoor spaces offers many options and possibilities year-round, where a meeting or event can be combined with a tour or expedition.
