Warm welcome to Fort de Batterijen!
The monumental fort from 1871 – 1873 is a spacious outdoor location on the outskirts of Utrecht, covering two hectares of land. Located by the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal and surrounded by nature, there are plenty of opportunities to organize both indoor and outdoor events.
The fort is the perfect venue for events, brainstorming sessions, meetings, conferences, and dinners. Due to its unique characteristics, the fort grounds provide a charming location for any group size.
The buildings “the Artillery Shed” and “the Guardhouse” have been modernized and furnished specifically for this purpose. For extra comfort and atmosphere, a reservation in the high season always includes a covered outdoor area with various stretch tents.
The Guardhouse
What was once the sleeping quarters and waiting area for the troops is now a special space for meetings and events. The Guardhouse consists of a combination of five vaults of which three can be used for gatherings. The spaces are fresh, industrial, and modernly decorated with natural elements. Thanks to the large façade windows, the spaces appear bright, and during a meeting, you look out onto the greenery and the fort moat.
The Artillery Shed
A characteristic shed of over 250 m² with a beautiful view of the green surroundings. The ground floor features charming wooden beams and steel accents and consists of a large characteristic space for plenary meetings of up to 200 guests. The second floor of the Artillery Shed is equipped with two attic spaces, making it highly suitable for meetings, workshops, and brainstorming sessions.
Unique outdoor location
During the summer months, it is also possible to brainstorm, engage in activities, or dine outdoors in the fresh air. Stylish stretch tents have been set up on the nature-rich fort grounds, providing a unique setting for business events. Of course, audiovisual equipment and catering can also be facilitated here, and various layouts are possible.
