Warm welcome to Fort de Batterijen!
The monumental fort from 1871 – 1873 is a spacious outdoor location on the edge of Utrecht with two hectares of land. Located by the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal and in the middle of nature, there are plenty of opportunities to organize both indoor and outdoor events.
The fort is the perfect location for events, brainstorming sessions, meetings, conferences, and dinners. Due to its unique characteristics, the fort area provides an atmospheric location for any group size.
The buildings “the Artillery Shed” and “the Guard House” have been specially modernized and furnished for this purpose. For extra comfort and atmosphere, a reservation in the high season always includes a covered outdoor space with various stretch tents.
The Guard House
What was once the sleeping quarters and waiting area for the troops is now a special space for meetings and events. The Guard House consists of a combination of five vaults, three of which can be used for gatherings. The spaces are fresh, industrial, and modernly decorated with natural elements. With large façade windows, the spaces feel light and during a meeting, you look out onto the greenery and the fort moat.
The Artillery Shed
A characteristic shed of over 250 m² with a beautiful view of the green surroundings. The ground floor, with atmospheric wooden beams and steel accents, consists of a large characteristic space for plenary meetings of up to 200 guests. The second floor of the Artillery Shed features two attic rooms and is therefore highly suitable for meetings, workshops, and brainstorming sessions.
Unique outdoor location
In the summer months, it is also possible to brainstorm, engage in activities, or dine outside in the fresh air. Stylish stretch tents have been placed on the nature-rich fort grounds, providing a unique setting for business events. Of course, audio, visuals, and catering can also be facilitated here, and various layouts are possible.
