In the heart of Amsterdam, around the corner from the Nieuwmarkt, Waterlooplein, and the Hortus Botanicus, lies the old synagogue of the former city islet Uilenburg: the Uilenburgersjoel.
The 'Owl' is a beloved and atmospheric location for various gatherings. The authentic high Synagogue hall is frequently used for plenary meetings such as presentations, lectures, and conferences. The Canal hall below serves as a cozy catering/drinks space. At the back, this hall overlooks the Uilenburgergracht, and through the opening doors, you step into the surrounding inner garden of the sjoel. In that garden, you will find the new Garden hall, which is well-suited for smaller meetings and breakouts.
