What are the parking options at or nearby the venue?

Free parking is available at Vakwerkhuis. Request this in advance from the venue by emailing. If free parking is not possible, you can park in the Zuidpoort parking garage across the water. This is a 10-minute walk from the venue.

Is the venue accessible by public transportation?

Station Delft Central is located within a 12-minute walking distance from Vakwerkhuis. There is also a bus stop near our location.

Can you spend the night at or near the venue?

You cannot stay overnight at Vakwerkhuis. However, there are plenty of opportunities to stay overnight nearby. We can advice you places nearby.

Is it possible to bring our own caterer?

Vakwerkhuis has its own catering. It is not possible to bring your own caterer. Please note that own catering where self-prepared products are served is not among the possibilities.

Until what time can a party last?

At Vakwerkhuis, you can hold a party until 01:00 AM. Outdoor music are also possible, but they must end by 09:00 PM.

How are the cancellation conditions arranged?

Of course we hope not, but if you need to cancel the booking, you can do so free of charge up to 7 days in advance. If you cancel 3 days in advance, we charge 50% of the room rent. If you cancel within 24 hours, we charge 75% of the room rent. If cancelled on the same day, we charge 100% of the room rent and arrangements ordered.

About the venue

The Vakwerkhuis is an old boiler house and national monument from 1903, which used to provide energy for the TU district, and has now been transformed into a sustainable and creative workspace. A place where people meet and inspire each other. The spot in Delft to work together, hold meetings in unique spaces, and enjoy coffee, lunch, and drinks. Organize your brainstorming session, meeting, coaching conversation, multi-day gathering, or networking event here. We have spaces that meet all your needs.

Vakwerk Architects repurposed it into a ‘coworking space’, office, and café. The boiler house is once again a source of energy for its surroundings. The appearance of the building has largely remained as it was. The industrial look is still clearly visible. The various buildings of the old boiler house are connected by glass, creating beautiful sightlines. The use of a lot of oak wood, red steel, and greenery creates a warm atmosphere.

The Vakwerkhuis is located by the Schie and within walking distance of the beautiful old city center of Delft. In 10 minutes on foot, you can reach Delft station. A green oasis in the middle of the city.
