Couwenhovezaal

At the window sections in the atmospheric Couwenhovezaal, it is clear that the city castle was once one of the defensive works of Utrecht: you can see how thick the castle walls are. Embedded in the walls are cannonballs, as a reminder of the shelling by the Spaniards in 1576. Due to the high ceiling and the recent renovation, the room of 7 x 10 meters has a fresh appearance. It is suitable for a meeting, drinks, dinner, or a party.

In addition, the hall can be combined with the Zoudenbalchzaal and Linteloo, allowing for larger groups to enjoy drinks or a festive evening.
