A church with a story
Our former Hulp- en Heilkerk was built around 1960 on the historic Schakenbosch, an estate where care, recovery, rest, and nature have been central for decades.

Over the years, church services and the monumental Flentrop organ were heard here, but also opera choirs, concerts, and other music. There was dancing, art exhibitions, celebrations, and above all, a lot of coming together.

The estate itself has a special place in Dutch history. During World War II, the Central Bureau of Statistics temporarily found shelter here.

Today we are writing a new chapter.

With Koffie & Karma and ManicOrganic, we are making this historic place once again a venue for encounters, inspiration, culture, tasty food, and events with a positive impact.

The church is not a standard or sleekly designed event hall, but rather a characterful space with history and its own identity. This makes it a blank canvas with character: a place that can be rearranged time and again for a meeting, congress, presentation, dinner, staff party, festival, or complete corporate event.

Our event space consists of the characterful festival church, a cozy foyer with a coffee bar, and a spacious outdoor terrace. Further on the estate, we have additional meeting and breakout spaces.

With about 100 parking spaces and a central location in the Randstad, the venue is excellently suited for both small gatherings and larger corporate events.

The strength of our location lies in flexibility.

Start the morning with a strategy session or meeting, divide the group into different breakout spaces, have lunch together in the greenery, and convert the church in the afternoon or evening into a complete dinner, party, or festival.

From an inspiring retreat day or executive meeting to a staff party, product launch, customer day, congress, anniversary, or corporate festival: we build the event around your organization.

We can fully relieve you in terms of catering, hospitality, production, setup, technology, entertainment, and activities. Together with our regular production and event partners, we can set up an event from A to Z.

Experience that goes beyond our own front door
Behind Koffie & Karma is ManicOrganic, with over 16 years of experience in catering and events and decades of hospitality experience.

Over the years, we have worked on small-scale business meetings, large public productions, festivals, campaigns, and international events. We had the pleasure of collaborating with various organizations, brands, foundations, and public clients.

For instance, we provided public catering during large dance events in Istanbul for One Colony, with events up to about 15,000 visitors. For Triodos Bank, we catered the Triodos Festival with food, drinks, bars, party tents, and hospitality for employees, family members, and thousands of visitors.

Additionally, we worked on events and campaigns for organizations such as Stichting Natuur & Milieu, the National Postcode Lottery, and commercial partners like Heineken and KLM. We also provided hospitality and catering for occasions for the Royal House and several Dutch prime ministers.

For many years, we were also active at a large part of the Dutch dance and food festivals with our food trucks and catering concepts. Our sustainable approach was awarded prizes for sustainable entrepreneurship and the 24Kitchen Food Truck Awards.

Where desired, we can also make the impact of an event transparent with our own sustainability certificate. We can organize additional climate compensation and connect events to social organizations and charities.
