We are Peter Rohmer (1961) and Valérie van Reede (1970). Plek onder de Bomen was founded in 2012 from the desire to live more sustainably and self-sufficiently. Here we live in our self-built house and work in the stables that have been converted into training and coaching spaces.
We both work as senior coaches, trainers, and therapists and have years of experience in the business world. We use methodologies such as systemic work, the Enneagram, (team) coaching, meditation, breath work, and leadership development.
In November 2021, we started the creation of a food forest. With the food forest, we want to contribute to facilitating the biodiversity that is under immense pressure worldwide. The food forest is also a place that shows how diversity enriches nature and provides fertile ground for various fauna and flora. A beautiful metaphor from which we humans can learn a lot.
Important keywords for us are:
- Sustainability: for the construction, we used trees from our own land and second-hand materials.
- Ecological: besides sustainable materials, our catering is always fresh, organic, and vegetarian.
- Fertile ground: the food forest on our land is a metaphor for the fertile ground within ourselves and contributes to biodiversity.
- Presence: the more we are truly present with ourselves, the greater the impact we have on our environment. This is central to our training and team coaching.
We feel privileged to have this beautiful place and are happy to share it with others.
