ss Rotterdam, The start of new memories
Thousands of passengers were enthusiastically waved off or warmly welcomed in the ports during the years that the ss Rotterdam was in service with the Holland - America Line as a liner and cruise ship. Since 2010, La Grande Dame has had only one permanent home port in the south-central part of Rotterdam at the quay of Katendrecht, where it now serves as a hotel, event location, and attraction.

Meetings & Events
The ss Rotterdam takes care of planning, organizing, and executing your inspiring meeting, multi-day conference, or unforgettable staff event. The ss Rotterdam features beautiful authentic rooms equipped with all modern facilities. There are various break-out rooms such as a stunning Grand Ballroom, a heavenly Sky Room, the magnificent Odyssee Room, and La Fontaine Room (the former dining rooms), plus a unique Theatre that accommodates up to 500 guests! The fully equipped spaces on the ship can host up to 3,500 guests. Combine several rooms and break up your meeting with various culinary breaks, or end the day with an informal drink or a cozy dinner.
Hotel & Restaurants & Tours
There is the option to stay overnight during your event, as there is also a 4-star hotel on board. The hotel has 254 hotel rooms, divided into three unique themes: Manhattan, Bahamas, and Original. The themes were chosen based on the cruises the ship made in earlier times. Start your day with an extensive International cruise breakfast in the casual Lido Grill restaurant, enjoy an afternoon drink in the Captains Lounge or the Ocean Wine Bar, and finish the evening with a culinary dinner in the Club Room. If you want to surprise your guests even more during a meeting, how about a tour that shows what a large cruise ship has to offer and what life on board was like in the past?
Escape Rooms
Give your meeting on board an extra boost with an outing in one of our escape rooms, the cold storage, or the metro. These rooms are located on the D Deck at the bottom of the ship. During the escape game, cooperation among participants is essential to find the right clues and codes, make the right connections, and ultimately solve the puzzles. Participants have only 60 minutes to escape!

Accessibility
The ss Rotterdam has a central location and is easy to reach by car, public transport, shuttle service, and for the ultimate maritime experience, you can also use the fast water taxi. Additionally, the parking lot in front has space for approximately 580 cars.
