Westergas

For years, Westergas has been a household name in Amsterdam. In 2018, the buildings of the Westergasfabriek were renamed Westergas. The same site, new energy: the Cultural Village of Amsterdam. The seventeen historic buildings found a new purpose and now provide the backdrop for creative entrepreneurs, events, and festivals. Under the name Westergas Business, three of the seventeen monumental buildings are rented out as event locations: De Wester, de Gashouder, and het Meterhuisje. The venues offer space for a wide range of events, both commercial and cultural. Westergas Business operates as an independent company without subsidies, where the commercial programming makes cultural events possible. This creates a dynamic mix of corporate events like presentations, trade fairs, dinners, and company parties alongside art fairs, theater, and live music.
