About the space
The Railway Museum in Utrecht is a museum with a beautiful business card: the entrance in the historic Maliebaan station. The classic train station from 1874 has been restored to its former glory and exudes 19th-century grandeur, complete with marble floors, chandeliers, and waiting rooms.
On the other side of the track stands an impressive modern museum hall where the entire history of the railway can be seen, smelled, and felt.
Organize a conference for up to 300 people during opening hours with various subrooms. Outside opening hours, this can even accommodate up to 3,000 people! The museum environment and beautiful trains always add an extra experience to a meeting or event.
The museum is centrally located in the heart of Utrecht with 200 parking spaces right outside, and the train stops in the middle of the museum during opening hours.
There they stand, ready to depart. Dozens of locomotives, carriages, and trains. Pure power sources that have withstood the test of time. A party, dinner, conference, or fair among these impressive trains is an experience in itself. The possibilities with this space are very diverse.
The square of World 1, ‘The Great Discovery’, with its beautiful oak trees, the old carriage workshop, the platform of station d’Eenhonderd Roe, and De Arend is one of the highlights of the museum.
Boundaries are pushed in World 2, ‘Dream Journeys’. The idyllic theater with its fairytale ambiance invites you to organize inspiring conferences, interesting lectures, or product presentations for up to 200 people. The adjacent platform, where the Orient Express is about to depart, offers the opportunity to enhance the meeting with an exclusive reception.
