About the space
The Wilhelmina Room is the gem of the Muntgebouw. In the past, this was the room of the mint master. The space was also used for official receptions of the royal family. For example, the monarch would sometimes visit the Royal Mint to strike a special coin or the very first coin. The first time was Queen Wilhelmina, who struck the first golden ten-guilder coin on June 23, 1911. The small door in the hall hides the washbasin, where Queen Wilhelmina used to wash her hands after inspecting the coins.
Due to the warm atmosphere in the room, it is ideally suited for a (board) meeting, breakout room, and/or private dining.
