About
This cozy and intimate room of 28m2 is located on the ground floor of the Villa and is excellent for use as an intimate meeting room.
The Hella room is named after 'Hella Jongerius', a well-known industrial designer and a distant relative of the family. Hella's signature can be found in the furniture, the colorful Blossom lamp, and the ceramics. While preserving elements from the past, the room's decor and atmosphere are colorful, inspiring, and innovative.
The room has its own terrace that can be used in good weather.
The story behind the room
In earlier times, this was the dining room, which was connected to the adjacent kitchen by a swinging door. The room was decorated by Heinnie Jongerius (1890-1974), the lady of the house, in a colorful and richly decorated Louis XIV style. This is well reflected in the curls of the paneling and the upholstery of the sofa and curtains.
